Fried pappadam is a special item in Kerala Sadhya. In fact a sadhya is incomplete without a fried pappadam. Most of us like to take pappadam with parippu curry or sambar and rice but some people like to have it with payasam. In fact most of the south Indian states uses pappadam but in different names as in Tamil it is called applam , in Kannada it is Happalam and in north it is called Pappad. Most people like a crispy crunchy pappadam with a meals.
